2025 SCRIPTURE MEMORY VERSES
Beginning in the first week of January, we will be inviting you to memorize verses of Scripture with us every week in 2025. The verses will we memorize are from Truth78's “Fighter Verses.” Our children will be memorizing the same verses every week, so this is a great way for parents to join their kids in hiding God’s Word in their hearts. Truth78 has lots of great resources to aid in Scripture memory, including verse cards, devotional tools, and an app. You can find more information by visiting www.fighterverses.com.
MISSION CORNER
Several of Cornerstone's domestic and international ministry and missionary partners have provided annual, written ministry reports and updates to 2024 wins and challenges. These are a great testament to the LORD's faithfulness and a helpful resource as Cornerstone evaluates future financial support. If you'd like to receive a copy from a particular partner, please email outreach@cornerstoneefree.org.
NEW SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS ON PAUL’S LETTERS TO THE CHURCHES
January 2025
In January, the Bereans Sunday School Class will be studying Paul’s 9 letters to the churches (Romans through II Thessalonians) Rather than studying each letter separately, we’ll be discussing a different recurring theme each week from those letters. Our goal is to get a comprehensive understanding on what Paul teaches on each topic. Here’s a brief outline of our study:
Our study will be based on Dave Hazelton’s book, The Simplified Guide: Paul’s Letters to the Churches (Deep River Books 2013). No need to buy a copy. Each week, you’ll receive an electronic copy of the chapter related to the topic for that week. Please join us if you’re not already part of another class. We meet in the upper level of the Education Building next to the kitchen. Hope to see you for this practical study of Paul’s letters to the churches.
- Right Beliefs: The Pure and Simple Gospel, The Threats of Addition and Subtraction, Freedom in Christ, The Standard of Scripture, and Paul’s Practical Theology.
- Right Conduct: Our High Calling to Holy Living, The Battle Between Our New and Old Natures, The Importance of Prayer, The Ups and Downs of Life, and Sexual Purity
- Right Relationships: The Foundational Principles of Love and Service, Family Relationships, Relationships in the Church, Relationships in the World, Caring for People in Need, and Personal Friendships.
