UPCOMING EVENTS:

SUNDAY SCHOOL CLASS ON EARLY CHRISTIAN CREEDS

Sundays, June 1, 8, 15, and 22, Location TBD

For the first four Sundays in June, Pastor John will be teaching a Sunday school class on the early creeds of the Christianity—their history, biblical basis, theological teaching, and importance for the church today. We will examine the biblical basis for creeds, and then look in turn at the first Creed of Nicaea (AD 325), the Nicene Creed (AD 381), and the  Chalcedonian Creed (AD 451). This class will be taught in the Bereans Sunday school class slot. The location may change from the normal Bereans class meeting place (the kitchen side of the fellowship hall) to accommodate technological  needs—stay tuned!

ATTENTION CAREGIVERS:

Attention Caregivers: We now offer two ways to join our Caregiver Group to better fit your schedule. Meetings are held approximately every other week—via Zoom on Saturday evenings at 7pm and in person on Monday mornings at 8am in the Adelphos Room (lower level of the sanctuary building). Each 90-minute session is a time to share challenges, exchange helpful strategies, and pray together.

  • Next Zoom Meeting: June 14 at 7pm
  • Next In-Person Meeting: June 16 at 8am

MISSIONS CORNER

As was shared on Sunday, Young Life is halfway to raising the necessary funds to support summer camp opportunities for teens in eastern Fairfax County.  Please consider making a one-time donation to support this outreach ministry to teens, teen moms, and kids with special needs in our community and give them the tremendous gift of a few days of good old-fashioned fun, pure fellowship, and to hear the Gospel through an authentic message by adults and leaders who love them. Checks can be mailed to Young Life, P.O. Box 5186 Boone, IA 50950-0186 and denote in memo line: campership VA216 or contact cornerstoneefree.org for online giving options.

IT’S TIME TO REGISTER FOR VBS!

July 28th to August 1st from 9:30 a.m - 12:00 p.m

We’re excited to welcome all rising Kindergarten through rising 4th grade children to this year’s Vacation Bible School! It will be a week full of Bible stories, music, games, crafts, and fun, all centered on sharing the good news of the gospel.

CALLING ALL VOLUNTEERS!

VBS can’t happen without your help! We’re looking for both youth and adult volunteers to serve in a variety of roles—leading groups, assisting with activities, or simply helping behind the scenes.
A Nursery/Preschool class will be available for volunteers' children, so you can serve knowing your little ones are well cared for.
Thank you for helping us share the gospel with children this summer!

SUPPLIES NEEDED

We're collecting Amazon brown packing paper to help decorate for VBS. If you have extra, please give it to Ursula—thank you!
