“What Are We to Make of ‘Gender’?”

“So God created mankind in his own image,

in the image of God he created them;

male and female he created them” — Gen. 1:27

1. God created us as bodily beings—

                                    a union of flesh and spirit;

             We are not just bodies.

             We are not just souls.

 God has also created us as sexual beings—

                                     as either male or female
