Part 7 of Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount, A Charter of Kingdom Living – Jesus’ teaching on the “greater righteousness” expected of those who belong to the Kingdom of God (Matt. 5:20) comes to a climax in our passage this morning. First negatively, and then positively, Jesus sets forth a righteousness that reflects the supremacy of love and so displays the very heart of God.
