Part 8 of Parables of Jesus:  “You cannot serve both God and money,” Jesus said. The problems we have with money have nothing to do with math. They are matters of the heart . . . and of the mind. We simply do not have a “Kingdom perspective” on our lives and on our possessions. Jesus’ parable of the exalted beggar pushes to think differently and so to handle our money in a distinctly Christ-like way, consistent with the gospel we have received.
