Part 2 of Jesus in Action: The Gospel Message of Mark – After the introduction of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, in the first 13 verses, and Jesus’ opening proclamation of the arrival of the kingdom of God in vv. 14-15, Mark’s story immediately turns in an unexpected direction: Jesus’ call of two sets of brothers to become his followers. This morning we examine this call, and consider what it means for us.
