Part 1 of Displaying the Character of Christ–An Exposition of Romans 12:9-21 – We live in “the age of authenticity,” with a focus on being true to our true selves.  But the authenticity called for in the gospel comes in denying our old selves and putting on a new self–a self “in Christ,” a self animated by the Spirit, and a self which is to be conformed to the image of Jesus.  This morning we begin a series in which Paul shows us what this new life looks like–supremely, it is expressed in sincere love.
