Series: The Church in the World: Studies in 1 Corinthians - Part 10
Bible Passage: 1 Corinthians 9:19-27
Part 10 of the Church in the World: Studies in 1 Corinthians – Paul visited the city of Corinth for the first time during his second missionary journey (Acts Chapter 18:1-18). And here in this “sin city,” where people lived lives far from God, Acts 18:8 tells us “many of the Corinthians who heard Paul believed and were baptized.”
How does this happen? How do people from diverse backgrounds – culturally, ethically, economically, ideologically, and morally – come to believe in Jesus?
People respond to Jesus best when they meet him in their own “country,” meaning in the context of life that’s unique to them. While this often involves “going,” it always involves “becoming.”
