Part 1 of Speaking Truth to Power: The Prophet Elijah – Times were bad in Israel.  A people with a calling to display to the nations the glory of the LORD had turned to worship Baal.  But the LORD is not without a witness, and a mysterious prophet suddenly appears to speak truth to power.  Our passage introduces us to Elijah, but more importantly, it shows us Elijah’s God.
