Part 7 of the Church in the World: Studies in 1 Corinthians – “In the age to come,” Jesus said, “we will be like an­gels, neither marrying nor giving in marriage” (Luke 20:35,36). But if we have already entered into that new age in Christ, then shouldn’t that be true of us now? Shouldn’t our conversion cause us to radically change our social con­ditions? It was with reasoning like this that Paul seems to be dealing in our passage today. And his response has implica­tions for all of us.
